The entire Saratoga Springs Central School District is in the boundary for play. If your child played with SNLL previously and now lives outside of Saratoga Springs Little League current boundary, he/she can still play in the league without a waiver. If you live outside the boundary, league officials may request waivers to allow the child to participate in SSLL (visit here for more information regarding waivers)
The easiest way to determine your child's Little League age is to use the calculator provided on the Little League website. It can be found here
Please see the Division levels section on the Program page
Registration starts mid-January and runs through March. The specific date is advertised on our website. The season will run from mid April til the end of June. There are also All-Star tournament teams for ages 10, 11, and 12, which play from June until the end of July.
Games are scheduled every Saturday and at least one weeknight. Practices are at the discretion of the coach and are more frequent as the players get older. Participation in practices, as well as games, is necessary to maintain status as a player.
In addition to the games and practices, each family registered is required to staff the concession stand for a game. A schedule is distributed at the beginning of the season. Games are scheduled every Saturday and at least one weeknight. Practices are at the discretion of the coach and are more frequent as the players get older. Participation in practices, as well as games, is necessary to maintain status as a player.
The league will supply the uniforms (consisting of a shirt, one pair of pants and a hat), bats and helmets. A player can always use his/her own helmet and/or bat, as long as the equipment is compliant with Little League rules. Players do need to supply his/her own glove. Although not required, plastic molded cleats are recommended. A protective cup is also recommended for all male players, and is a requirement for those playing the catchers position.
Each division has a Player Agent that is the main point of contact for that division. If you have any questions, you can email the general email for the league or the specific Player Agent for your child’s division. Player Agent information can be found on our Staff page.
Team pictures are taken during Opening Day so it’s important to come to the ceremony even if your team is not scheduled for a game that day. The end of the season is wrapped up with the Family Picnic, which includes a day of fun, food, awards and raffle prizes. It’s a great way to end a wonderful season.
