This Saturday is Opening Day! We've put in an order for some nicer weather and it looks like it should arrive right on time.  We usually formally begin the season by gathering all of the teams together for a big ol' Opening Day celebration. This year we’ll celebrate in smaller groups. Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time to get your uniform and line up on the Minors Field (it's the field in the middle).  Parents and families, the teams will march over to the Majors Field (the big field with the lights) for the ceremony, so you should set up shop over there.  Don't be afraid to really stretch your legs and spread out.  There's plenty of room all the way around the outside of the field.  

All SSLL players in their uniform will receive one free ice pop or ice cream sandwich on opening day – come by the concession stand for your frosty treat!

Schedule is as follows:
8:30am – Tee Ball and Bantam
9:30am – Minors AA and Minors AAA
10:30am – Majors (12 year old jacket ceremony!) and Challenger

*Team photos will be all day! Even if you don't want to purchase a photo of your kid in their super cute little baseball uniform looking way too grown up, please have their photo taken anyway so they can be included in the team photo.  See the image below for the entire schedule in case you were wondering. If your photo time is prior to the opening day ceremony, you'll receive your uniform then.
